How to choose a truck repair shop
Updated October 2026
A good shop saves you money for years. A bad one costs you twice.
Look for
Experience with your make and engine, clear written estimates, warranty on parts and labor, reasonable turnaround times, and good reviews from other drivers.
Ask before work starts
What's the labor rate, and how are hours estimated? Will you call me before doing anything not on the estimate? Can I have my old parts back? What's the warranty?
Compare quotes
For big jobs, get more than one quote. Our work order comparison lines them up for you.
