Updated October 2026
First, safety. Get the truck as far off the road as you can, turn on your hazard lights and put out your warning devices as required.
Then
Call your roadside service or dispatcher, share your exact location and what happened, and ask for an estimate before work starts. Take photos, and get every charge in writing.
Be ready next time
Keep a roadside plan, emergency numbers, basic tools, and spare fuses and lights. Use our breakdown checklist.
